Lower Campground
Sites 1-13 (30-amp)

This area has 13 campsites and 30-amp electric hookups. Campsites have mostly level gravel parking spurs. The park dump station is located at the entrance to this section. The beach/playground area and the DNR dock and boat launch are a short walk to the south.
Sites 1, 2, 8, and 9 are seasonal. Others can be booked on a nightly or monthly (30 days) basis.
Due to Health Department restrictions, water spigots located at some sites may only be used for tank fill, not continuous hookups.
Upper Campground

This area has seven scattered campsites and is heavily wooded with 20-amp electric hookups. Some sites are suitable for RVs; others are more difficult to access or are unlevel and are better for tents. Pavilions, restroom/shower building, and concession/kitchen facilities are located in this area, along with horseshoe pits, baseball diamond, and tennis/pickleball courts.

Rates
FACILITY RENTAL WILL REQUIRE SIGNING OF A RENTAL AGREEMENT BEFORE USE.
Camping Rates
Sites with hookups – $25/night, $550/month, or $1,600/season
Dump Station
$10 for dump and/or water fill of camping unit that is not camping at the park (other water receptacles may not be filled)
Pavilion Rentals
Bergland Pavilions – $25/day each plus a $25 refundable cleaning deposit.
Merriweather Pavilion – $25/day plus a $25 refundable cleaning deposit.
Kitchen Rental
Bergland Park Kitchen – $100 per use plus a $100 refundable cleaning deposit.

Reservation Policies & Rules
In 2026, the campground is scheduled to open May 8 (weather permitting) and close on October 11. We are currently accepting bookings until the 2026 closing.
Check-in time is 2 PM; check-out is 1 PM.
ALL RESERVATIONS AND SAME-DAY ARRIVALS MUST BE BOOKED ONLINE using online booking.
If you have a problem making a reservation, please call Jerry Wuorenmaa, Township Trustee, at (906) 231-2580. (Due to having multiple responsibilities, he may not be immediately available.)
There is a $3 non-refundable fee for each reservation. This supports the cost of the booking system.
Cancelation Policy
The customer will forfeit a $10 flat fee for all cancellations, in addition to the first night’s fee, if canceled less than 48 hours before the reservation starts. If the site is not canceled, it remains open for the registered guest only until the end of the paid first night (until check-out time the following day).
Monthly rate (including multi-month) reservations:
The customer will forfeit a $10 flat fee for all cancellations and 25% of the full amount paid if canceled less than 7 days before the reservation starts.
No refunds for no-shows or for people who cancel after the reservation has started.
